Beauty Shoot: Behind the Scenes
A couple of weeks ago I had the pleasure of shooting behind the scenes for a beauty shoot. As you know from my previous posts, I LOVE LOVE LOVE these types of shoots. Beauty and fashion is my passion! I feel I am most creative in these type of shoots as I have full control over creativity and I can take the time to set up shots and capture details.
In this industry, I have learnt you need to be flexible, which sometimes means you don't always get to take part in the projects you want to, but when it does happen, its makes me realise how much I love my job!
I had an absolute amazing time shooting with art director and photographer Najeeb Jomaa, hair stylist Jack Gaaz, make up artist Manuela Andonova and Models Gozal Bekova & Izabelle.
Behind the scenes video - First Beauty Look
As I was shooting behind the scenes I was highly convinced by the rest of the team to participate in the shoot. My original thought was.. I prefer being behind the camera. but as hours went by I caved. [Monkey covering eyes emoji]. The shoot was intended to be a 4 hour shoot but as these things do, it went on for 8hours. I don't have a behind the scenes video of the second look as I was in hair and make up, but below is an iPhone picture of the shoot.

After modelling for the second look, I got back to work shooting the third look, checkout the behind the scenes photos and have a look at my video below.

I edited and graded both videos using Adobe Premiere Pro. Out of the two videos I like the second beauty video more as it was more fresh and edgy. In fact, the initial videos were going to be one 90sec video but, it made sense to split them up giving each look the benefit of suitable music and style of editing.
